Assumption of Risk

I am the parent or legal guardian of the child identified on this registration form, and I have the authority to provide consent on the child’s behalf.

I understand that participation in Happy Hindu programs may include age-appropriate movement, games, crafts, use of materials, group activities, and other indoor or outdoor activities. These activities may involve inherent risks, including, but not limited to, slips, falls, accidental contact with other participants, allergic reactions, illness, and injury.

I voluntarily choose to allow my child to participate and knowingly accept the ordinary and inherent risks associated with participation. I agree to inform Happy Hindu in writing of any allergies, medical conditions, physical limitations, accessibility needs, or other circumstances relevant to my child’s safe participation.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I release and hold harmless Happy Hindu and its owners, directors, employees, instructors, volunteers, contractors, participating families, partner organizations, and host facilities from claims arising from the ordinary and inherent risks of participation.

This release is not intended to waive claims that cannot legally be waived, including claims arising from gross negligence, reckless conduct, or intentional misconduct where applicable law prohibits such a waiver.

I understand that this acknowledgment does not guarantee that all risks can be prevented. I have had an opportunity to review this language and ask questions before signing.

Parent or Guardian Participation and Supervision

Happy Hindu is designed as a family program in which children and adults learn, participate, and grow together. A parent, legal guardian, or other responsible adult designated by the parent or guardian must remain present and actively participate with the child for the entire session.

The accompanying adult is responsible for supervising the child at all times, supporting the child’s participation, and helping the child follow program expectations. Happy Hindu instructors and volunteers do not provide childcare or assume responsibility for supervising children independently.

If someone other than the child’s parent or legal guardian will attend, the parent or guardian must ensure that the designated adult is familiar with the child’s needs and authorized to supervise the child.

Participant Behavior and Respectful Conduct

Happy Hindu is committed to providing a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment for all families. Participants and accompanying adults are expected to:

Treat other families, instructors, volunteers, staff, and host-facility personnel with kindness and respect;
Follow reasonable safety instructions and program guidelines;
Respect the facility, program materials, and personal belongings of others;
Refrain from bullying, harassment, discrimination, threatening conduct, or intentionally disruptive behavior; and
Avoid language or conduct that prevents others from participating safely and comfortably.

Parents and guardians are responsible for helping their children meet these expectations.

Happy Hindu will generally attempt to address concerns collaboratively with the family. However, conduct that is unsafe, seriously disruptive, or harmful to others may result in a participant being asked to leave a session or, when necessary, withdraw from the program. Refunds are not guaranteed when participation ends because of a violation of this policy.

Accessibility and Accommodation Requests

Happy Hindu welcomes families with different abilities, learning styles, communication needs, and access needs.

Families are encouraged to share any accommodation requests during registration or contact Happy Hindu as early as possible before the program begins. Happy Hindu will work in good faith with families and host facilities to consider reasonable accommodations that support meaningful and safe participation.

Although every effort will be made to address accommodation requests, a particular accommodation may depend on the program format, facility, available resources, safety considerations, and advance notice.

Accommodation information will be shared only with those who reasonably need it to support the participant, except when disclosure is otherwise required by law.

Attendance and Makeup Policy

Consistent attendance helps families receive the full benefit of the Happy Hindu program. We encourage participants to make every effort to attend each scheduled session, while recognizing that illnesses, travel, and other unexpected circumstances may arise.

The Parent Guide will be provided for every session that your family is registered for, including sessions your family is unable to attend.

Happy Hindu plans to offer one group makeup session during the winter and one during the spring. Dates will be announced when available. Makeup sessions are subject to scheduling and availability; individual makeup sessions may be considered in special circumstances.

Illness Policy

To help protect all participating families, please do not attend a session if the participating child or accompanying adult:

Has a fever or has had a fever within the previous 24 hours without fever-reducing medication;
Has experienced vomiting or diarrhea within the previous 24 hours;
Has symptoms of a contagious illness;
Has been advised by a healthcare provider or public-health authority to remain home; or
Is not feeling well enough to participate comfortably and safely.

Families should follow any additional health guidance communicated by Happy Hindu or the host facility. If a participant becomes ill during a session, the family may be asked to leave early.

Families who miss a session because of illness will still receive the applicable Parent Guide and may attend a scheduled group makeup session, subject to availability. Registration fees remain nonrefundable.

Weather and Emergency Cancellation Policy

Happy Hindu may cancel, postpone, relocate, or modify a session when severe weather, unsafe conditions, facility closures, public-health concerns, government guidance, or other emergencies make it inadvisable or impossible to meet as planned.

Families will be notified as soon as reasonably possible using the contact information provided during registration. Happy Hindu will make reasonable efforts to reschedule a cancelled session, but a replacement session cannot be guaranteed when cancellation results from circumstances beyond Happy Hindu’s control.

Payment and Refund Policy

Registration fees are nonrefundable, including when a family misses or chooses not to attend a scheduled session.

If Happy Hindu must cancel a session for reasons within its control, every reasonable effort will be made to reschedule it. If the session cannot be rescheduled, Happy Hindu may consider providing a refund or credit based on the circumstances and the portion of the program that could not be delivered.

Privacy and Use of Registration Information

Happy Hindu collects registration information to administer the program, communicate with families, process registration and payment, plan appropriate activities, respond to health or accommodation needs, and support participant safety.

Registration information will be used for program-related purposes and will not be sold. Information may be shared with instructors, volunteers, service providers, or host organizations only when reasonably necessary to operate the program, meet a participant’s needs, process registration, or comply with legal obligations.

Families are responsible for providing accurate information and promptly notifying Happy Hindu of relevant changes.

Program communications may be sent using the email address or telephone number provided during registration. Families may opt out of nonessential promotional communications, but they may continue to receive necessary registration, safety, scheduling, and program updates.
